Do you do your own social media? Or do you want to? If so, then here are some tools and apps which I’m loving right now.

Manychat

ManyChat is a fantastic tool that allows you to easily create Facebook Messenger Bots for sales and marketing, and customer support. The tutorials and step-by-step set up keeps everything simple allowing you to create professional looking bots quickly and easily. The free entry level package is enough for most small businesses (you can upgrade to the paid version if you need to.)

Cost: Free!

Planoly

My favourite tool for planning and scheduling Instagram feeds. You can also use it for Pinterest. You can use it to beautifully curate and schedule your pictures, and easily write and spellcheck your posts. You can also store different collections of hashtags. The free version is enough to get you started (or for single accounts), but if you’re going to take your IG marketing seriously then you might want to upgrade to the paid version which allows you to track and measure your post engagement.

Cost: Free!

Metricool

Metricool takes all of the data from your website, socials, Google ads, Facebook ads etc, and displays it in one easy to navigate page. This way, it’s easy to get an overview of what is working, and use this to improve your strategies. It also has a great planner and scheduling tool which I use all the time.

Cost: Free!

Google Tag Manager

Slightly more of a learning curve but this is a MUST if you’re going to be tracking your clicks and followers. Google Tag Manager is a tag management system (‘TMS’) that allows you to create and monitor tags on your website. A tag is just a bit of tracking code. GTM allows you to insert and update these easily so you don’t have to keep copying and pasting, and updating each time you want to add a new one. Getting to grips with GTM will make your marketing so much easier, effective, and more streamlined

Cost: free!

Keywords Everywhere

There are lots of tools to help you with keyword research, and Keywords Everywhere is my new favourite! It’s a simple downloadable browser extension. Once installed you search for your keyword and it will give you all the related keywords with metrics such as how many searches on Google per month, and website rankings. I should also add, in the interests of fairness, that the Moz bar is another super keyword tool too and I tend to alternate between the two of them. The basic versions of both of these amazing tools are free and should be perfectly fine for any small business.

Cost: Free (both)!

Let me know how you get on with any of these tools — and also which ones you yourself love!
